I’ve been having kind of a rough 2 weeks.
I’ve been ‘quite’ quiet following blogs or tweets, sorry.
Professional ups & personal downs have been feeling like a rollercoaster ride.
- “Tom Leuntjens Photography” is officially registered, I’m ready for a sweet year filled with weddings.
- Met with some very cool 2009 wedding couples
- Received the best client [...]
“The following takes place between 7.00 AM and 22 PM.”
“Tuut-Tuut-Tuut”
(always wanted to do that)
I. The decision to be a (wedding) photographer
II. Preparations, building up to one perfect day: schedule, shot list & gear.
III. The wedding day
IV. Post processing & the wedding album
III. The wedding day

I think my wedding day actually [...]
This afternoon I spent the afternoon in the lovely company of little Hasse and her proud parents, Kris & Lien.
We really had a great time trying lots of different things for the pictures and even strolled outside for something extra. I didn’t even have time to go through all the pictures yet but I really [...]
I’m sorry for the lack of updates recently but it have been busy times for us.
Sunday we moved to our new house, not a huge castle but a cozy place to call ours.
And I’m afraid the updating won’t get any better, because next thursday, our big adventure awaits …
and we still have to plan some [...]
She’s growing up so fast, this is a picture from just 4 months ago.
One from the vault. Great cartoons.
As I mentioned in a previous post, last minute notice I found out that there would be 2 teams,
and I would have 2 hours to get individual portraits & team pictures. Things looked to get worse:
the A team was playing a friendly match and the B team was having fun on the backup court.
Me & [...]
Dang, 2 sticks in 2 weeks. People are reading my blog *suprised*, and not the least … Pieter Van Impe threw me a before & after stick this weekend. So it’s my turn to give you some insight in how I handle my images.
I’ve noticed a positive evolution in my processing. I don’t always need [...]
Last week when reading dikkie’s blog I thought I saw my name … rubbed my eyes twice … wait a minute, that is my name …. I was all smile.
“Talking about strobist skills, Tom Leuntjes is a very talented guy as well.

The very [...]
So it is true what they say about photography, only 30% of your time is spent shooting, the other 70% of your time is spent behind a computer screen. This shoot took about 3 hours.
The day the shoot after I skimmed through the images selecting the “keepers” & deleting the failures. (approx 1 hour) What [...]
A small teaser preview from a wonderful & fun pregnancy session I had with Anne & Kristof last night.
Kristof is a painter/graphic artist, so this conceptual idea was thought of beforehand. I knew I wanted to do a paint theme, the artworks are made & thought of by mr. kilar himself. And let me tell [...]
I finally made up my mind about the new layout and from the beginning of next week http://tomleuntjensphotography.com will serve as my new splash page between the new site , blog & flickr stream.
So everybody subscribed to this blog I hope the http://tomleuntjensphotography.wordpress.com/feed is in your bookmarks.
The galleries on the site still need to [...]
Actually we started the session with these shots. The loft features a nice long hallway. For the first shot I used one shoot trough umbrella on the front & a bare flash (held & positioned by my lovely assistant wenti) at the back. I did like the result of this but I wanted to add [...]
A couple more pictures of the pregnancy shoot before the weekend starts.
The loft featured nice frosted milk glass doors between the living room & the hallway. The model(s) was standing behind the door with one bare flash at 1/16 positioned 4 feet behind on a stand to create sharper silhouettes. I was positioned on the [...]
In the last couple of weeks I’ve been doing all sorts TFCD work to help build me a portfolio. Kids, pregnancy, portraits, babies, etc… When Annick asked me if I could take some pictures of her and her loyal canine I wasn’t really sure to accept the challenge or not. For all the other subjects [...]
