The wedding season kicked back into action. Here is something a little different, a setting that is miles away from the clean lines I usually look for. Incandescent light sources instead of a big natural light source that I can just overexpose and an ‘overposed’ pose where the bride is looking down on the groom. [...]
A while ago I head the pleasure of doing a fun eSession with Kevin & Evelyne in Antwerp. This weekend it’s their big day. Looking forward to it! Lets just hope the priest is more fun than last time when he kicked us out of his church…
I was told firetrucks would still be on the square because the groom of the couple before us was a fire-fighter … so this came as much of a surprise for me as to the couple. I had to scramble to get the angles I wanted.
While (almost) every Canon shooter (myself included) is waiting to pick up their new 5D mark III I also home-delivered my last
album of 2011. (it was great seeing you guys again!)
A&L picked a fabulous winter wedding day and it seems that they carried an extra little secret with them! Sneaky!
Thanks for having me [...]
Annelies & Ben were my voluntary test couple for an eSession a while ago and having spent some time together is just pure gold. It means that when I ring the doorbell in the morning you can feel more like a friend as opposed to being “the photographer”. Everybody is that much more relaxed.
A lot of wedding posts are left unwritten, truth is that I’m struggling to find a balance between work, more work & family. Luckily when I get home from a full-time job there is this little munchkin always greeting me with a big genuine smile, EVERY day. So when I’m home my mind doesn’t go [...]
Having this little critter in the house has been a real joy, so neglecting my blog doesn’t really make me feel bad at all. But because I haven’t been posting much here lately doesn’t mean I’ve been sitting still.
Most of my dailies are being posted on my facebook fanpage or my “photo of the day” [...]
Because of our little family expansion I kept my wedding schedule rather open this year. It was only 2 months ago that I kicked off my 2011 “season” with the wedding of Karolien & Wouter. It’s hard to explain but the whole day was filled with a warm glow of tranquility, Karolien & Wouter are [...]
Seike & Kristof decided on a last minute eSession to prepare them for their big day in two weeks. We decided to meet up in K. and that shopping mall proved to be the ideal playground for me! Even the underground parking gave us some darn pretty results. Just for the sake of getting some [...]
To prep Ben & Annelies for their big day and to take my X100 a spin we headed out for a walk in my neigbourhood. It’s actually a lot of fun to find some new spots and to give a new twist on some old spots. We all had great fun and I think the [...]
It’s been a rough couple of weeks and some posts I had planned didn’t make it on the blog yet. So again, we got some catching up to do…
Before I publish Part III of the twin engagement session I want to introduce you to Kris & Debbie. These awesome guys are getting married next month [...]
As I previously said, It felt good to be back in the field. And when a location features fields like this, I’m heppi!
Now to convince everyone to have the family portraits done in that field too!
This weekend I had the pleasure of shooting the eSession of Annelies & Chris and Nathalie & Ynthe. The weather was excellent and as soon as I was able to figure out who was who things really clicked into place They picked a location close to home and it had everything: an [...]
With the birth of our son Bent, 2011 already has been a sweet year. And while I have accepted a limited number of weddings this year I’m really looking forward to get back out there to capture me some lovely weddings. But before I do that I’m gonna release some unblogged 2010 weddings on you.
